What to Do at the Historic Napa Mill

The Napa River Inn and Historic Napa Mill—where everything you need is just a step away.

The location of the Napa Mill and the hotel make it an ideal spot for both visitors and locals alike. Situated along the banks of the Napa River, the Napa River Walk winds through lush gardens and takes you to some of the best eateries in Napa: Angele, Celadon, and Sweetie Pies.

The outdoor Riverbend Plaza area is a great place to sit while enjoying a picnic and sharing a bottle of wine. Local Napa Independence Day events are held on this patio overlooking the river, as well as some of the Napa Valley Film Festival events. Corporations and businesses also rent it out for networking meet-and-greets, and other get-togethers.

Timeless charms of yesterday blend with the elegance and sophistication of today at Napa’s highest Michelin-rated, and a Forbes Recommended hotel – the Napa River Inn, the largest tenant of the Historic Napa Mill.

Guests at the Inn wake up the wine country way with fresh pastries from Sweetie Pies bakery. Relaxation abounds at The Spa at Napa River Inn, highly rated by both locals and visitors alike. Massages, facials, body treatments, and more are offered in this delightful little day sap.

Adventure tempts at every turn with more than 20 tasting rooms within walking distance of the Historic Napa Mill, and multiple exceptional restaurants. The Mill and Inn are situated right along the river, making it easy to cruise the waterfront, run the Riverwalk, or roll your way around town with on bicycles for rent. Everything is within walking distance and close to entertainment, restaurants, and the Oxbow Public Market.

With hundreds of wineries in Napa Valley, it’s sometimes hard to pair it down to the few you will visit. Whether you’re looking to roam the valley in a day, or take the leisurely route through Wine Country, the concierge at Napa River Inn is well-known for their insider knowledge and solid advice.

If you need something a little sweet, the Vintage Sweet Shoppe offers homemade fudge and other candies. They also create one-of-a-kind chocolate covered wine bottles (featured on the Food Network). Here you can enjoy a little wine tasting and a chocolate paring for a sweet ending to a great afternoon of exploring.

The Historic Napa Mill is located at the terminus of Main Street at 5th on the Napa River. We’ve been anchoring Main Street since 1884.
