What are the Different Wine Tours?

Is there anyone in your group excited about being a Designated Driver for a weekend of wine tasting? We thought not. Not to worry: our central location makes tasting tours an easy possibility and a distinct delight.

Walking Tours: With more than 20 tasting rooms within strolling distance of the Napa River Inn, you can leave your driving (and parking) cares behind with your baggage. Ask the Concierge for a Downtown Napa walking map, or have them point you to a few of our favorites, including Bounty Hunter Rare Wine & Spirits.

Organized Tours: If you would rather see how the magic happens, there are several ways to get around town from winery to winery without needing to drive.

  1. Ask the Concierge to arrange a private driver.
  2. Ride the Wine Train.
  3. Join an organized group tour!

Popular tour companies, like Platypus Tours, host themed tours for up to 12 guests. They will take you to three off-the-beaten-track wineries around town in one day for about $119 per person, including picnic lunch. Most wineries have additional tasting fees of $25 or so, which you will have to cover out of pocket.
